Cashplus expands platform offering with enhanced SME Marketplace

London, 16th September 2019: Cashplus, the leading digital challenger to banks, today announces the growth of its specialist SME marketplace to eleven partners,

The digital marketplace allows Cashplus business customers access to discounts and exclusive offers on a wide range of hand-picked business services. The marketplace complements the company’s digital platform which also offers full integration with common accountancy and payments platforms.

These features are accessed directly through the Cashplus app or online service and mesh seamlessly with current and credit accounts, saving time for the small business customers who Cashplus targets its services towards.

Cashplus, which currently provides 7% of all new UK business accounts, with plans to grow to at least 10% over the next five years, is focused on addressing common SME pain points, with services including instant current account opening, flexible business lending and cash services at Post Office branches.

These common pain points for small businesses are late payments, poor access to finance and laborious accounting systems.  The marketplace seeks to make all aspects of running a business simpler.

The hand-picked partners include, WeWork; Wix, the website and domain creator; Square, the payments provider for SMEs; Sage, provider of cloud business management solutions; Look After My Bills, a free service that automatically switches your gas and electricity, and IPSE, The Association of Independent Professionals and the Self-Employed.

Nick Biggam, Commercial Director, Cashplus, said, “We are delighted to have added such a range of fantastic brands to our growing SME marketplace. We want to create the go-to destination for start-ups and SMEs to gain support and grow their businesses – whether through our banking services or a hand-picked partner service.

“These partnerships help to ensure our customers can work smarter, focusing on running their businesses rather than on stresses about logistics and financing. We hope to keep expanding this marketplace to help growing UK businesses be more productive.”
